INSTRUIS PUBLISHING COMPANY TO RELEASE FIRST EVER APPLICATION OF HACCP STANDARDS TO RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT

Instruis Publishing Company, based in Abington, PA, will release Alcohol HACCP – The Solution for Responsible Service and Sale of Alcohol in October.   It is the first book to apply HACCP principles to the safe sale and service of alcohol.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) was initially developed by Pillsbury for NASA manned space flights.   It is a scientific approach to identifying potential hazards and minimizing risk.

HACCP is an international standard of the food industry.   Planning and operations based on HACCP are crucial to the safety of the food supply.   Its use in responsible alcohol management is a breakthrough.

“We are involved in a revolution”, noted James Egbert CEO of Instruis Publishing Company.  “The application of HACCP to alcohol service is a big step forward for the hospitality industry and for public health and safety.”

Susan Algeo, co-author of Alcohol HACCP, said, “This is a book and concept that can be used wherever alcohol is sold or served.   I’m thrilled to be part of this important development.”   Ms. Algeo and her co-authors, George Zameska and Tara Paster, are all widely recognized responsible alcohol management training specialists.
